I spoke English growing up though my native tongues were Ga (Ghana) and Yoruba (Nigeria) In Yoruba, "Ọla" means wealth; "wa" means come; and "ile" means home. So, my primary given African name, Ọlawale, means "Wealth comes home." I don’t have a lot of money (who does?) but I love my wife, my sons, and I love humanity.
