Lazy Days

For people with disabilities, the idea of being lazy can be tough to deal with. We need extra help with daily living and often use more energy than the average person. Yet, lazy days can help me be more productive when I need to be. I hope, one day, our society can embrace more downtime and less stressful lives. That would help us all.

"Be the change that you wish to see in the world."-Gandhi. People with disabilities have been at the forefront of the creation and changing of laws that help us. But, many still need changes. One that comes to mind is, the Grandfather clause, this refers to a section of a law, regulation, or other legal document that limits how changes will be applied to legal relations and activities existing prior to the change. In the U.S., this allows businesses to refuse the changes necessary for their business to be accessible and inclusive. And in the long run, this hurts everyone.
