12.3.2019 20:00Closet Grow UpdateWe started growing lettuce and spinach in our little office closet. We initially started this to try to have a small harvestable grow. While i think this was a good initial idea, I think we are lacking in the space department currently. Though this is something i will be thinking about for the future and […]

14.2.2019 00:12Lettuce and Spinach: First Grow[…] Though it’s still frozen outside, it doesn’t mean we can’t get started inside while we wait for it to get closer to spring. I know most of the plants we’ll be growing this year will be started from seed. We’ll probably try to get everything at least sprouted inside while its still cold outside. This way we might have some better luck growing some of the stuff that failed last year. […]

10.2.2019 04:00We’re Getting Closer To SpringAs the snow still sits in the yard, i’m left remembering the sun as it hit my face while out in the garden last year. I remember how the warmth hit my face and how it made me feel like i could just force the garden to grow by my own lone will. I also […]

30.7.2018 18:02Garden Update: End Of JulyWow today was a warm one for sure. 17.7.2018 00:29Comment on The Biggest Harvest Yet in Our Small Garden by BrysonI talked w Sandy & she suggests watering on the ground, like a soaker hose, to avoid having the leaves be wet overnight. I thought maybe you were doing most of your watering late when you got off work. Evidently watering at night is good because its not so hot & the water can get absorbed, but its evidently bad to have the leaves wet overnight. I suppose it maybe makes the plant more susceptible to fungus. ?? Just a thought! You guys are doing great w your garden!! (& you’re right, it DOES take some time!)
