MS Oslofjord's departure for the US.
The passenger capacity was 860 passengers, divided into 152 in the cabin category cabin class, 307 in tourist class and 401 in 3rd class.
Oslofjord was Amerikalinjen's (America Line's) first newbuilding in 20 years when she was delivered to NAL in May 1938. At the outbreak of war in 1940, the ship was in New York and was incorporated into the Nortraship fleet. After being converted into a troop transport ship, Oslofjord hit a mine at the mouth of the River Tyne in England on 1 December 1940. On 8 December the hull began to crack approximately midway between the funnels, and the following day the vessel was lost. The shipwreck is today a popular object for recreational divers where it lies at a depth of 15 meters.

The yeast factory at Treschows gate 1.
The factory was founded in 1918 as Norske Gjær- & Spritfabrikker (Norwegian yeast and alcohol factories), and from 1961 under the name Idun. From the beginning, yeast and technical alcohol were produced at the plant. From the 1930s, broth, vinegar, mustard and other foodstuffs were also produced. In 2005 Idun moved the yeast production to Sweden.

Valkyrie plass station on the Holmenkollbanen. The station was originally planned to be located midway between the National Theatre and Majorstuen, but was moved to Valkyrien after an accident on 23 October 1912, during the construction of the underground, caused 800 m² of the street structure to collapse into the tunnel. It was opened to traffic on 28 June 1928. The station was closed in 1985 due to its short distance to Majorstuen and because it was both difficult and risky to expand it for subway trains with more than two carriages.
