"Welcome to Patterson" painting, done in the style of old fashioned "Welcome to [City]" postcards. A ship (our school mascot, the Clipper Ship) is on the horizon at right looking out over the sea and in front of a rising or setting sun. Each letter of Patterson is filled with symbols/images from a different academic content area.

Finished my seventeenth year teaching last week. All years have been at the same school, Patterson High School in Baltimore City. In honor of us closing up shop for the summer, I share this hanging mural / painting done by Patterson art students, which hangs in the corridor one floor below my room.
