Only the front facade has this look. The rest of the building has a bit more of a plain Mexican adobe looking design. The facade seems to have been added later and the architect based it on an image of a European church (maybe the cathedral in Cologne?).

Yeah, sure enough there was. It was the day of the San Jose Pride Parade! A wonderful chance to see Pride celebrated somewhere else.
