It was a little warmer here today, so I went on a nice long walk on the Bridle Trail in town. I was able to see the damage from last summer's flood up close for the first time. It's not pretty.

The trail is an old rail bed. This section of it was built up about 30' or so to provide a path for trains. During the flood, the normally docile stream in the photos ran with such force that it scoured away the rail bed from below, causing it to collapse under its own weight.
