I took this picture of the pup around Christmas in #wanaka #newzealand and thus began the story of how I found out my #dog is a demon.

Snow in the Southern Hemisphere... in October! Super crazy. I haven't seen this much snow in quite a while, especially not this late in the year - it's supposed to be summer! ❄️ always brings a smile 😊

This picture was taken underneath a tree with the sunlight just penetrating through... I love simple pictures of nature without 2,456 filters attached. 😅

Dunedin, New Zealand. Taken from Dalziel Road. I just love it when I'm driving and you can see some parts of the city completely encased in fog.
If you look closely, you can see the tower in the distance.
It was a Friday morning like every other Friday morning - clear, bright, quiet.
At 6am I was waiting for the group.
At 6.07 I took this photo.
At 6.10 I called 911.
There were 7 of us in total, only 6 of us went home.....
What happened in those 3 minutes is something none of us who were there will ever forget. Allan - A father - a husband - a son - a friend - a life taken far too soon.
As we got on our bikes to cycle, another man made the choice to get in his car (allegedly drunk) and drive that road. He made a conscious choice.
Yesterday Allans family and friends said their goodbyes to him in a moving ceremony. A scene we and many others watched from thousands of miles away in disbelief and sadness
A split second decision is all it takes to change someone’s life - a matter of seconds can mean life or death for someone.
When you get in your car you hold a power that can change a life - choose to drive safely - choose to be of sound mind - choose to ignore your phone.
Bahrain is notorious for bad driving - there are no traffic rules that are properly enforced here - people use the hard shoulder to pass traffic - people drive with their phone in their faces - people don’t even respect other cars here as they bully their way through traffic. A man who had multiple previous offenses was still allowed on the road. This has to change or more lives will be taken.
Over the past 2 weeks, I’ve heard people talk about 2020 being a shit year for a lot of people.....but if you’ve read this far, you’re still here and you’re still alive. We have a choice - to appreciate that - to see the gift that is in that alone - to acknowledge that we are privileged to be able to see and speak to our families and friends on video calls even if we don’t get to see them in person. Because we are here and we are alive.
RIP Swordie. 6/11/20 💙🏴 You will not be forgotten.
