Martin Beyer got a PhD in Physical Chemistry, TU Munich. Next stations were postdoc UC Berkeley, habilitation TUM, DFG Heisenberg Fellow TU Berlin. 2007-2013 he was associate professor for physical chemistry in Kiel. Since 2013 he is Professor for Experimental Nano- and Biophysics in Innsbruck. His research focuses on chemistry, spectroscopy and photochemistry of molecular ions and ionic clusters and fundamental concepts in mechanochemistry.
