26.12.2024 19:54Comment on 2024 in Ten Significant Photos by Scott SmithI hear you loud and clear. Since the 1980's I have researched in the field of AI. We have seen some incredible results in the sciences and medicine. Results that save lives and make improvements to our lives. However, more and more I am seeing AI used as a replacement for human creativity, ingenuity and common sense. That is so wrong on so many levels. Now, flagging creative work as AI is a step way too far. I avoid using many of the social media platforms because of their lack of ethics, arbitrary decisions and allowing computer programmers to decide what is and what is not accurate, truthful or just. Only a human trained for such things can make that decision and a human should be the final check on any AI checking for AI. Keith
