<p>I'm very disappointed with VW.i I'm driving Polo Tsi 2019 1.2,I was driving with my colleagues and it started to show these errors on the dashboard,I felt so embarrassed. One time I was parked at the mall when I'm starting my car it gives me an error that I must take the vehicle to Workshop. I re-start again then eventually it started. </p>

I also have the 2015 polo tsi dsg, and I’ve been getting the same error. Also in SA. My husband saw a post on the gearbox selector switch, phoned VW and HQ, both said they are unaware of the issue and no recalls and that I must bring in the vehicle when it happens again. Mine also comes up so quickly you can bearly read it and disappears again. I’ve had numerous specialist diagnostic tests done and everytime no errors. When I had my car serviced, they also said they can find any faults. I told them abiut the gearbox selector switch… still no luck. My car has now started to grab at the gear when put in R, so then have to put in D, start moving forward and then it goes into R normally without any harsh sounds (but this has only happened like 3 or 4 times and i’ve been having this issue for more than a year now if not longer) i’m more convinced than ever that it is the gearbox selector switch, so planning to phone VW again tomorrow. What was the cost of replacing yours?

We just spent a small fortune on replacing the well known faulty mechatronic unit. These components and the companies that manufacture them or use them in their cars should be exposed for their low quality, low reliability and low safety assurance. Stop ripping off your consumers and take responsibility for your systemic poor engineering. I WILL NEVER BUY A VW EVER AGAIN!!

After a couple of weeks it started happening every time I unlock the car/turn engine on/off, occasionally whilst I'm driving. Not had it fixed but it causes no problems, other than being slightly annoying.
