HI!

Everyone is introducing themselves.... I should too. I wouldn't mind this space picking up a bit and should do my part. I'm loving the fediverse but it is wonderfully full of politics, rightfully so---I just need a breather from it you know.
She/her, queer, 50 yrs, in California with a trans partner, a bunch of cats, a crow (non-releasable), chickens, and a ginormous german shepard. I work at a public library a couple towns over, l love my job, not an official Librarian just a library asst. It's lonely in this city. I'd love to move to a more active community, but right now our county has excellent transcare and we are in a flood and fire safe area---three things that are super important, right?

How many of us are here?

Leaving Facebook and Insta, phasing out.... got to figure out how to keep abreast of local LGBTQ events and discussions, if not on Facebook (and asking said groups to at least have an email list for events, and friends to find me elsewhere). So... trying Bluesky, Mastodon, and now Friendica. I feel so spread out!
I hope we can rebuild community with each other.
I'm in the East Bay, in the "family first" city of Concord. (Barf) I work across the Carquinez, where there seems to be a more cohesive LGBTQ network (again, all on facebook and insta). Come on peoples-----Move!
