I used silver aluminium wire because it is currently not in a refined state anyway, and the silver wire reminds me of that.

Also, several of those branches are sacrificial branches - I'm planning to remove+jin them in the next 2-3 yrs.

I made a turntable for working on my #bonsai . The wood is virtually indestructible (the same 18mm multiplex plates I used for building my climbing wall), and in between is a furniture-bearing that can take a load of 200kg. Overkill? Maybe. But better be safe than sorry ;)

Continuing the redesign of the chinese elm #bonsai that I bought in a garden center ~1 year ago. The problem I want to work on today:

* The stump from the trunk chop is clearly visible
* The continuation of the trunk grows straight up
* Two branches coming from the same spot, one growing directly from the back of the trunk curve
* A branch originating from the back, growing to the front

The last two pictures show the tree after pruning and wiring.
