French industrial & electronic music producer drÖne's electronic music is often dark and oppressive, supported by rhythms that are hostile to the pace. A few melodies survive in the rarefied air of an universe saturated with industrial slag, and the youthful bursts of dance are in tune with the hypnotic pulsations of the bombs pounding the front line. Behind the scenes, bureaucracy reigns: this is where the space for criticism begins, by shaping other possible narratives. On stage, the music opens up to improvisation and collaboration with VJs and visual artists. With a classical/jazz background and various experiences of rock, punk, tekno and free party, drÖne has been making electronic music since the mid-80s and stays resolutely outside the mainstream and commercial circuits.
