13.1.2023 20:36Jeff BeckCarver Mead is very slowly building up his reputation debunking conventional physics wisdom taught today. This discussion he does on YouTube about Mead’s Collective Electrodynamics and John Cramer’s Transactional Quantum Theory is great. I have to say this though, the mainstream Theoretical Physicists continue to object to both Mead and Kramer’s view of quantum electrodynamics, […]

It needs to be shared widely. 50 years after my bachelor’s degree now, I’ve looked at peer review from all sides, and I completely agree. There’s no fix. I publish (make public) […]

16.12.2022 20:29Comment on What The Internet Is, and Should Continue To Be by Does the Internet need “governance”? – Deep Plum ResearchMSM picking up on lunatic idea that one can extrapolate the future of moral choices by simple reductive reasoning without context, then justify any decision one takes based on that “logic”. https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/11/17/effective-altruism-sam-bankman-fried-ftx-crypto/ This is like Mein Kampf’s careful logical justification, based on a reductive theory of history, or Lenin’s “What Must Be Done?” careful logic. 22.11.2022 15:52SBF and the EA/Longtermist “Moral Reasoning”I don't feel any responsibility for advancing those causes advocating "collective consciousness". The promoters of such causes are free to use platforms that support group formation if they wish. I just don't find "moral markets" as a useful project. Markets are just markets - what happens when participants trade, under a set of rules. There's no core meaning of "free markets" as a term. People already have invented a terribly flawed idea of "property rights" that seems to be assumed as a given in the discourse about Free Markets. Many would suggest that Property Rights are a major antithesis of Freedom. I also question why hivemind consciousness would be a desirable future - besides emulating some science fiction imaginings, who benefits?
23.10.2022 19:19Comment on Ending WP and FB monopolies by dprI'm curious what your thoughts are about attempts dating back at least to Julian Huxley and Teilhard de Chardin to catalyze a new phase of evolution through collective consciousness - Christogenesis / Omega Point - how network collectivism on blockchain (stigmergy-swarm intelligence) will advance such a program? It seems to me that the John Temple Foundation (Free Markets, Religion, Theoretical Physics Grants) and the Fetzer Institute are pouring lots of money into this - a sort of moral markets deployment to get at a hivemend consciousness via ubiquitous computing. Do you feel any responsibility for advancing such a cause via your equation? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Yres-LF9VE https://kumu.io/Timpsila/d-cent#untitled-map/reeds-law-david-reed-exponential-value-creation-from-group-forming-networks-transactional-architecture
22.10.2022 14:44Comment on Ending WP and FB monopolies by Alison McDowellAs I wonder what can be done about the messes we humans keep suffering rather than fixing them, occasionally I have an idea that others don’t seem to have thought about. Here’s one. Centralization of power grows as unequal power structures are accepted and tolerated. Though we use “monopoly” to describe them, monopoly presumes that […]

28.7.2021 06:35Comment on Posting again? by sungheon jeongIt’s been a long while since I’ve posted new content. Frankly, I find myself focusing on “conversations” in Facebook and email, though both of those are poor substitutes for thinking and writing about complex ideas. 25.6.2021 01:21Comment on udp and me by Gwyneth LlewelynFor the past few months I’ve been struggling to sort out why very little has been being done to address the biggest issue that faces humanity today.
