After a few months there I asked people if they'd be paying to read articles. Most said no, and many mentioned you can google to find unpaywalled versions. One of the most visible posters is Dan Rather, whose editorials are widely appreciated. Where Post leaves me ambivalent, is that it is 90% left wing news. Other than actual new sources, the general readership posts links to news stories that feature the ugliest photos of the GOP "enemy" with stories that please them. These rarely have added value and frankly, I find it counterproductive. I think reading this causes more harm and brings nothing you haven't already seen.
