11.2.2025 13:45Strange DarlingI agree with you that it’s not for everyone. I didn’t like it. I felt it was barebones retelling of the classic. No atmospherics, no long shots, incoherent narrative and above all too much focused on Shakespearean English that too when the setting is in Germany. Also, the buffoonery of Willem Defoe’s character put me off immensely. His appearances reminded me of the comedic reliefs from the Ramsey Brothers films. Maybe I am too big a fan of Werner Herzog’s Nosferatu. But this film just didn’t make it for me. In my humble opinion, it’s the weakest film made on Nosferatu. Time will tell.

I was so engrossed in the whole thing. Wish it were rated higher on IMDb. Only thing, i didn't understand the last 10 minutes that well, had to watch other videos to get what actually happened
