We went to the art supplies shop with the kid yesterday and drew together for a little while. We're just about to enter a week of heat and it hasn't permeated the walls just yet, so letting the sun in is actually pleasant for now. I found my drawings illuminated by the morning light. Getting my camera out makes me see things I normally wouldn't look at. I tend to rush through the days, never fast enough. It does not actually matter how much there is on my agenda, I will find a reason to rush and I will find what is not enough. Magic of a meaningless moment. Magic in small details I could stare at endlessly. Sometimes I wonder if Baroness Lips von Lipstrill used to sit here too, right where I am, and what it was that she saw, when she looked out this window, years before I would live in her apartment. I wonder what it was like, years earlier, when these buildings got hit by bombs and if people were hiding in the eerie earth cellars which seem to have swallowed many a story and send it deep deep down into the underground. I dream of one day having a nice outdoor space for myself where I can sit with my plants, take time for them and watch them grow. I was never much of a plants person but I find them appearing in front of my inner eye when I'm most at ease and something draws me towards them.
