I’m not a big fan of horror movies or TV shows, because I’m not a big fan of jump scares. I’m generally way more into fantasy, sci-fi and dystopian fiction than any other genre – except perhaps some of Anne Rice’s works/adaptations. I have finished it, and I definitely preferred to New Blood. I think it was a combination of familiarity of the characters (the actor who played Batista was especially spot on!), how well they redid the scenes that were in the original series, and the fact it's set in the 90s. New Blood was too Gen Z for me. I have trouble with most shows set in "the present" these days.

I even wrote a review about the first season, which was phenomenal and probably one of the best seasons of television I’ve seen, thanks to its plot twists. That was 18 years ago!
