How WellMap is Evolving — and Why We Need a Community of Clinics Open to Experimentation

When we first launched WellMap, the idea was simple:
help users quickly compare prices for medical services and, if needed, organize their treatment trip abroad.

That version of the platform worked — and still does.
But a startup is always about movement.
It’s about not freezing in one solution, but going where new value emerges.

After speaking at international medical tourism events in the UAE, consulting with investors (including Viktor Savyuk, founder of Dendy), and hosting B2B meetings with clinics in Istanbul, one thing became clear:

🚨 The old methods of attracting international patients no longer work.

The market is oversaturated. Patients are cautious. Traffic is expensive.
Clinics that simply “list themselves somewhere” no longer see meaningful results.

We came to an important insight:

The future of medical tourism lies with clinics open to testing new approaches — and with expert agent communities, not lone players.

It’s in the link between clinic ↔ agent ↔ patient that a new, more sustainable system can emerge.

We’re now focusing on building an international network of medical agents, who don’t just “bring patients,”
but act as true ambassadors of the clinics they represent.

How WellMap is Evolving — and Why We Need a Community of Clinics Open to Experimentation

What are we building for clinics?

We’re currently developing a new solution stack tailored to the needs of cross-border healthcare providers.

You could call it a CRM or monitoring system,
but in essence, it’s a managed growth system designed to support clinics in global outreach:

✅ Reputation and presence management in international markets
✅ Systematic generation of quality mentions through our network of medical agents — via forums, blogs, and social media
✅ Handling and converting incoming leads from different countries
✅ Tools to securely close deals with patients remotely
✅ Analytics on funnels, repeat requests, reviews — all in one place

We’re combining everything clinics need to not just be seen internationally, but actually sell medical services for export.

How WellMap is Evolving — and Why We Need a Community of Clinics Open to Experimentation

What’s next?

Right now, we’re carefully designing the “ideal go-global package” for clinics — customized for different markets, budgets, and growth formats.
We’re testing, collecting feedback, and fine-tuning the formula.

📩 We’re already open to private meetings with the first clinics ready to join this movement
those who are involved in development and open to bold, smart experimentation.

Write to us at info@wellmap.сo if you’d like to discuss it — we’ll show, adjust, and build a solution tailored to your clinic.

And who knows — we might just create a new growth point together.

WellMap Participates in B2B Medical Encounters in Istanbul

Istanbul, September 29–30, 2025. WellMap will take part in the international event The Medical Encounter — one of the key b2b encounters bringing together leading representatives of the global healthcare market.

The b2b encounters format is an innovative approach to organizing business meetings, where buyers and healthcare providers come together within a well-structured program. The goal is highly effective communication, establishing new connections, and exchanging best practices. The program combines intensive business networking with cultural activities and informal social interactions.

Participation in The Medical Encounter in Istanbul is a strategic step for WellMap, aimed at expanding its network of reliable partners and strengthening its presence in key international markets. Earlier this year, in June, WellMap already took part in the event in Morocco, where the company successfully expanded its partner network across the African continent.

Such events provide access to new clinics and healthcare providers, enabling the platform to broaden its portfolio of verified offerings. For clients, this translates into the ability to choose the most competitive prices for services from certified clinics worldwide.

A particular strength of the format lies in face-to-face meetings with clinic representatives: they allow direct assessment of service quality, the conclusion of long-term agreements, and the building of trust. For WellMap, this is a tool for creating a system of transparent conditions and secure transactions — a framework that directly benefits patient safety.

WellMap continues to set the standard in global medical tourism, where quality, transparency, and value are the key criteria of choice.

WellMap Raised the Issue of Data Protection in Medical Tourism at an International Conference

On September 16–17, 2025, Dubai hosted the international conference Health Tourism & Medical Odyssey — one of the key events in the field of medical and wellness tourism. Organized with the support of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the event brought together global industry leaders, government representatives, and international buyers.

Health Tourism & Medical Odyssey is more than just a congress. It is a business platform that unites global players in the industry and creates space for strategic growth, partnerships, and new business opportunities. The program featured plenary discussions, pre-arranged one-to-one meetings, and active professional networking. Key topics included the sustainable development of medical tourism, digital transformation of the sector, collaboration between governments and the private sector, as well as new approaches to patient safety and data protection.

Ivan Osotov, Co-Founder of WellMap, spoke at the plenary session “Shaping the Future: Collaboration Across the Wellness Ecosystem.” In his speech, he emphasized that digital platforms are becoming system-forming players in the market, bringing together the interests of all stakeholders on a single platform.

Ivan paid particular attention to the issues of personal data protection and online transactions. He presented WellMap’s innovative concept — a smart contract for the medical sector, already patented in one country. In the future, this technology will allow patients to pay for services securely online, store and transfer medical data in a protected format, and sign documents and agreements remotely. The WellMap team has already applied for a grant to develop this solution and plans to implement it within the next year.

“Ideally, medical tourism should operate under unified quality standards. It should be as easy as using Booking.com: I open the platform, find a solution, upload my health data, and receive the best treatment plan. Today the market is far from this model, but this is the future direction we see,” said Ivan Osotov.

According to Ivan, the key to sustainable industry growth is transparency and digital infrastructure, which “unites patients, clinics, agents, and governments into one ecosystem and makes the process safe and clear for all sides.”

“Today, much of the medical tourism market operates in the grey zone: patients face non-transparent pricing, and governments deal with chaotic industry growth. Digital platforms are changing the rules of the game. At WellMap, we are building a system where every participant benefits: patients gain safety and clear pricing, clinics access the global market without huge costs, agents get tools to work and earn remotely, and governments receive data and control to develop medical tourism as an export industry,” he added.

WellMap positions itself as the future “Booking.com of healthcare.” The platform is creating a new global reality for medical tourism with simple and clear rules, where millions of people can safely and affordably improve their health and appearance, gaining access to advanced medical technologies worldwide.

Wellmap is Shaping a New Ecosystem for Medical Tourism

Interview with Ivan Osotov, Co-Founder of Wellmap

— Ivan, you are speaking at the Health Tourism & Medical Odyssey in Dubai. What key idea will you bring to the audience?

— The main message is that digital platforms are becoming system-shaping players in the medical tourism industry. If in the past the market relied on personal connections, intermediaries, and offline communications, the future now belongs to ecosystems.
My panel session will focus on the role of platforms like Wellmap in building global infrastructure: from price transparency to creating trust between all stakeholders.

— What does the development of Wellmap as a platform look like?

— We are building not just a directory of clinics, but a full-fledged ecosystem of medical tourism.
Our development has three core directions:

  1. The global network of medical tourism agents.
We bring together professionals worldwide who help patients choose clinics, accompany them on their journey, and act as ambassadors of quality. For agents, Wellmap is a work environment: tools, access to patient leads, training, and the ability to grow their own business without being tied to a specific geography.
  2. Clinics and medical centers.
We provide them with a platform to reach global audiences without excessive financial risk. Instead of spending millions on international marketing, clinics gain a ready-made channel for attracting patients.
  3. Patients.
They finally get what the market has been lacking for years: transparent pricing, easy comparison of options, access to verified clinics, and secure transactions through smart contracts.

Wellmap is Shaping a New Ecosystem for Medical Tourism

— You also mentioned governments. How are they involved in this ecosystem?

— For many countries, the export of medical services is becoming an important part of the economy.
But to manage this process sustainably, they need digital tools. Wellmap allows governments to see the bigger picture: which patients are arriving, which services are in demand, and where growth opportunities lie. We essentially give them a digital platform to develop medical service exports.

This creates value for everyone: countries receive new revenue streams, clinics get more patients, patients receive quality care, and agents gain meaningful work opportunities.

— Why are the UAE and the MENA region becoming your priority markets?

— Because the environment here is ideal for growth.

For us, this is an opportunity to show that Wellmap can be not only a marketplace, but also a tool for public health policy and for building a country’s medical export strategy.

— In your view, what is the key role of digital platforms in this industry?

— I see several critical aspects:

  1. Shaping the ecosystem.
Today, medical tourism often falls into the “grey market”: too many unlicensed intermediaries, opaque schemes, price manipulations. Wellmap solves this problem through transparency: all prices and conditions are available in one place. This sets common rules of the game and builds trust with patients, clinics, and governments.
  2. Breaking down barriers.
The main barrier is distrust. Patients fear overpaying or ending up with an unqualified doctor, while governments fear chaotic market growth. The platform acts as a filter: vetting clinics, verifying agents, and enforcing standards. This creates a sense of safety for patients and control for countries.
  3. Reducing reputational risks for countries.
When patient expectations are not met, it damages the image of the entire country as a medical destination. Wellmap helps create realistic expectations through transparent terms, clinic comparisons, and verified reviews. This minimizes reputational risks.
  4. The role of governments.
States are interested in medical tourism as a source of revenue and prestige. To ensure sustainable development, they need digital tools for oversight and transparency. Wellmap can become a trusted partner for governments, minimizing risks of price manipulation and quality issues.

In short, we are setting new rules of the game: eliminating grey areas, lowering risks, simplifying interactions, and building trust. This benefits patients, clinics, and countries alike.

— One last question: what does participating in the Dubai conference personally mean to you?

— For me, it’s not only a chance to share our vision, but also to listen and learn from colleagues, industry leaders, and government representatives.
Wellmap was conceived as a project of global scale, and Dubai is the perfect stage to show that we are stepping into the international arena. For us, it is not the final destination, but the starting point for major expansion.

We also see the conference as an opportunity to build new relationships and meet investors interested in healthtech and medtech projects. Wellmap is open to exploring different forms of collaboration that will allow us to grow at an even faster pace.

Medical tourism in Europe: how to get affordable treatment without long waiting times

Medical tourism in Europe: how to get affordable treatment without long waiting times

For many Europeans, the healthcare reality looks the same: expensive, slow and complicated.

Here are the three most common scenarios:

  1. European resident. Local clinics have high standards, but when it comes to getting treatment, the nearest appointment is often six months away. Dental implants, veneers or prosthetics cost 5–8 times more than in other countries.
  2. Traveler. You enjoy a new country — and suddenly a sharp toothache ruins your plans. It’s impossible to endure, there are no trusted contacts, and online advice only adds fear: prices vary by 2x, reviews are contradictory, and it’s hard to know which doctor is reliable.
  3. Digital nomad. Working remotely from different countries gives freedom, but when serious treatment is needed, the choice becomes stressful: where is it safe and affordable to get help?

In all these cases, people face the same problem: lack of transparency, high costs, and uncertainty.

WellMap — the solution for medical tourism in Europe

These stories are exactly why WellMap was created.
It’s not just a directory or an agency, but a marketplace of trusted clinics worldwide. Patients can compare prices and treatment options, while getting free support from a medical tourism agent, who helps with language barriers and organizes the entire trip.

Why WellMap is important for patients:

In other words, WellMap turns medical tourism in Europe from a stressful and chaotic process into a clear and safe journey — with a guide always by your side.

Our plans

Today, the platform allows comparing prices for 12 key medical services (from dentistry and plastic surgery to hair transplant) across 35 countries. Next in line — oncology and IVF.

WellMap is building an ecosystem that connects everyone:

At the same time, a personal patient account with a bonus system is being developed: medical journeys via WellMap will always be cheaper than booking directly with a clinic.

✨ But already today, while the personal account is being programmed, you can get a $100 bonus for your first medical service at one of our partner clinics abroad.

How Long Do Porcelain Dental Veneers Last?

https://blog.wellmap.co/how-long...

How Long Do Porcelain Dental Veneers Last?

Porcelain veneers are one of the most popular ways to achieve a flawless, long-lasting smile. Whether you want to correct discolouration, chips, or gaps, they offer a natural look with durable results. But how long do they really last — and how can you make them last longer?

What are porcelain veneers?

Thin, custom-made shells placed on the front of your teeth to improve their shape, size, and colour. They’re stain-resistant, durable, and preferred by many over composite options.

Average lifespan

Porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years, and with excellent care, even 20+ years. Their longevity depends on:
✔ Material quality
✔ Your daily habits
✔ Oral hygiene
✔ The skill of your dentist

Why choose porcelain?

✅ Better stain resistance (coffee, wine, tobacco)
✅ Natural enamel-like sheen
✅ Greater durability & fewer replacements over time

Care tips to make veneers last longer:

Can they be repaired or replaced?

Yes. Minor chips can often be repaired, but larger damage usually requires replacement. Modern techniques make this process quick and effective.

💡 On WellMap, you’ll find only trusted, verified dentists in Turkey and beyond — with proven expertise in cosmetic dentistry, premium materials, and results you can rely on.

🎁 Special bonus:

7 Things to Know Before Getting Dental Implants Abroad

7 Things to Know Before Getting Dental Implants Abroad

Thinking about getting dental implants abroad? With the right planning, you can save thousands, enjoy high-quality treatment, and even turn it into a memorable trip.

Here are 7 key things to know before you book:

1️⃣ If you choose Turkey – choose the right clinic 🇹🇷
Turkey is one of the most popular destinations for dental implants — advanced dentistry, experienced specialists, and prices 40–60% lower than in Western Europe.
But your results will depend on the clinic and dentist you choose. Look for:

✔ International accreditation for global safety standards
✔ Positive patient reviews from other international patients
✔ Before-and-after photos with real cases
✔ Proven expertise in implantology

💡 On WellMap, you’ll find only carefully internationally accredited clinics and verified dentists in Turkey — with premium materials, English-speaking teams, and a track record of success.

2️⃣ Understand the full treatment timeline
Dental implants are not a single-visit procedure. Treatment usually happens in two stages:

3️⃣ Plan for recovery
Implants are minor surgery, so give yourself 3–5 days to rest after the procedure.
✔ Stay close to your clinic
✔ Keep soft foods ready
✔ Avoid long travel or intense sightseeing right away

4️⃣ Think long-term
Aftercare is just as important as the surgery. Ask about:
✔ Follow-up plans
✔ Warranty policies
✔ Digital check-ins or local dentist recommendations

5️⃣ Know your implant materials
Not all implants are the same. The best clinics use FDA/CE-approved titanium or zirconia. Always request a certificate of authenticity.

6️⃣ Understand legal & insurance aspects
Make sure you know:
✔ Patient protection policies
✔ Dentist’s insurance for medical travel
✔ Whether international health travel insurance is worth adding

7️⃣ Let WellMap make it easier
On WellMap, you’ll find only verified clinics and dentists that meet international standards, use premium materials, and work with English-speaking patients daily. We handle the search, vetting, and connection — you just focus on your new smile.

Dental Implants in Istanbul: procedure, cost and bonus

Dental implants in Istanbul are rapidly becoming one of the most popular solutions for replacing missing teeth. Patients from all over the world travel to Istanbul to receive high-quality dental care at affordable prices.

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made from titanium or similar materials. They are surgically placed into the jawbone to support replacement teeth like crowns or bridges. Over time, the implant fuses with the bone through a process called osseointegration. This provides a stable and strong foundation for artificial teeth. This mimics the function and appearance of natural teeth. Additionally, dental implants help maintain jawbone health, which can deteriorate when teeth are missing.

Why Choose Istanbul for Dental Implants?

Istanbul is known for its highly skilled dentists and advanced clinics. Many specialists have international training and use state-of-the-art techniques. Besides, dental implants in Istanbul are significantly more affordable than in Western countries. The lower cost does not mean lower quality. In fact, clinics often follow international standards and offer comprehensive packages. These include consultation, imaging, treatment, and even accommodation. Moreover, Istanbul’s unique culture and beautiful landmarks make the journey more enjoyable and memorable.

The Procedure for Dental Implants

The process starts with a detailed consultation and imaging, such as X-rays or 3D scans. These help create a personalised treatment plan. On the day of surgery, the dentist places the implant into the jawbone under local anaesthesia or sedation. Healing takes several months as the implant integrates with the bone. After this, an abutment is attached, and finally, the crown or bridge is fixed. Patients receive thorough aftercare instructions to ensure smooth healing and optimal results.

Cost of Dental Implants in Istanbul

One of the main reasons people choose dental implants in Istanbul is the cost. Prices often range from £200 to £800 per implant, depending on the clinic and materials used. Many clinics offer full packages covering surgery, abutment, crown, and follow-up appointments. These prices are much lower than those in the UK, US, or Europe. Additionally, clinics often provide financing options, making it even more accessible. The cost advantage, combined with high-quality care, is a major factor attracting international patients.

🎁 Special bonus:

Book your treatment date by 15 September and get $100 off your first dental procedure.
