Yes! This was such a great anime. I loved how gritty it was, and it didn't sugar coat the fact that the two characters were in organized crime families. What I think I liked the most about the series was Yoshino. She was so fearsome and always stood her ground. I don't usually like gritty anime, but this was just right. None of the violent scenes felt out of place, and everything felt like it was the to build the story rather than for shock value.

Yes, this is such an interesting and unique anime! I tend to like more straight forward mysteries, but this was so different that I still liked it. I didn't notice before, but the character designs kind of look similar to the characters in The Ancient Magus' Bride, in a good way. You're right, the visuals of this anime can really enhance some of the episodes that might have fallen flat otherwise. Some of the episodes are definitely worth re-watching just to see how they were animated.

Oh that's really a good point! Japanese romance stories really do tend to be less direct than their western counter parts. I kind of like that sometimes with anime you really need to pay attention to the subtle changes in characters to see their relationship develop. It makes it more fun to re-watch some anime, just to see the little hints that are hidden in each episode.
