On the stones towards the right sits a little sparrow looking to the left. The sunset light dyes it in the same reddish yellow as the stones it sits on.

Photo inside the columned hall of the temple Karnak. I'm standing between the giant 21 meter high stone columns, with a circumference of 10 meters, closing in on me in several rows. The light sand stone is multi coloured and partly covered in hieroglyphs. A wooden ceiling high above blocks the sun and everything is shaded in soft muted warm light. Behind one column to the left a person wearing white trousers and a black shirt peeks out to take a photo.

It's hard to find time (and internet) to post pictures, so I will do that once we're in our beach hotel or at home 😅 but here's a little taste of what's to come. (I took over 1k photos by now and it's day four 😬)

Panoramic shot of the pyramids of Gizeh with three smaller side pyramids in front. There's three camels walking in front of them. It's sunny but the sky the smog from Cairo makes the pic look foggy and is mostly hiding the blue sky.

Photo of the sky after sunset. There are still orange colours right above the horizon, but they're muted and dark, turning into dark blue not far up. Some whispy purple clouds can be seen. Two spots are pointed at by drawn arrows. A bigger brighter one that is Venus and a tiny, barely visible one between bare tree branches is Mercury.

Photo of the sky, mostly a darker blue, but feather clouds are illuminated by the bright moon, almost hiding it. A bright spot to the lower right is Jupiter.

Finally caught #Mercury as well! That makes three planets at the same time.

Late stage of the sunset which floods a thin line over the horizon with orange glow, but quickly turns into black night. Black silhouettes of bare trees interrupt the orange light. The crescent moon hangs small and alone in the upper sky. Venus is a tiny dot above the trees.

Can't get enough of this view.

Sunset sky, but the sunset isn't orange or red, just various stages of white ans yellow. The sky turns darker at the top. There are bare trees in front of the sun. The remarkable thing about this photo are the countless crisscrossing white trails of planes drawing a pattern from the upper left to lower right. They're in various states from newly drawn sharp and thin lines to broader almost cloud like struktures.
